This first picture is my diagrams from my structure section. This shows the foot steps in the top left. The Rock move in middle left. And breaks down the space made by the jump spin in the bottom. The diagram on the right shows the footwork, structure made by the path of the dance and the repition of the dance
This shows the scale of the dance. Since the dance is really dependent on the size of the dance, the are differences in scale and cannot be contained by just one set scale. The first two diagrams show this. The lowest diagram shows that where the greatest range and amount of motion that takes place is in each of the corners.
The top drawing shows that the dance is in the form of a grid; it also shows the idea of space within a space. This is created by on dancer's path amongst all the other dancers' pathes. The middle diagram shows the intersection between these dancers and how all the space are adjacent. The lowest diagram shows the path of the feet in a single dancers's path. It shows all the different movements of the feet that make up a larger square. So space within a space is the key to the organization.
These above photos show a model representin the ideas of overlapping and adjacent spaces. It also shows the balance.
The above model shows the scale and how it differs in the dance depending on how many dancers there are.
This model shows the structure and movement of the Rock. The model conveys motion and shows how this is an upper body motion.
This is a model showing the footwork of the grapevine move. It shows how there are curved motions that take an extended route in comparison to the other very direct path.
